I'm a huge fan of the London based Firmdale Hotel group. Whenever Philippe and I are in London we stay at their Knightsbridge Hotel and its become our home away from home. One Denman Place with apartments for stays of 90 days or more has just been added to this distinctive group, located in the Ham Yard hotel in Soho, which itself opened just last year.
There are one, two and three bedrooms apartments available with interior design by co-owner Kit Kemp in her singular eclectic style incorporating antiques, found items and an abundant mix of textured patterned fabrics. Beautifully light and airy with a loft-like feel, some of the apartments come with spacious terraces. De-luxe features include fabric covered walls, bespoke furniture, Boffi kitchens, marble bathrooms and fully integrated AV control system. The apartments come with all the hotel's amenities, including use of the movie theater that shows current movies weekly.
I love room service as much as the next person, but having a state-of-the-art kitchen to prepare lights meals if the mood strikes is very appealing. One Denman Place has its own separate entrance and can also be accessed through the hotel lobby. If I ever have an extended stay in London, One Denman Place will be my first choice.
