Read a wonderful post from Quintessence Blog, showcasing Carolyne Roehm's collaboration with Baccarat Crystal for their Holiday catalogue. You may remember my recent What I'm Reading Right Now post about Carolyne Roehm's new book, At Home in the Garden, which included photos of her gorgeous Connecticut home, Weatherstone.
The Baccarat catalogue was shot by Sylvie Becquet at Weatherstone and styled by Carolyne Roehm, where her discerning eye for the finer details makes her an inspired choice. Weatherstone serves as the perfect backdrop for Baccarat's glamorous collection of crystal chandeliers, goblets and vases filled with an abundance of Carolyne's blooms.
I've since received the actual catalogue and it's given me the inspiration I needed to get decorating. I've been sitting on the fence as I wanted to do something different this year, and have been looking for decorative elements I haven't used in Christmases past. The sparkle and glamour of the Baccarat pieces, particularly in red sets just the tone I've been searching for.
However, as we all know it takes more than crystal alone to evoke the holiday spirit - we also need to deck the halls. I saw some enchanting images on One King's Lane, where interior decorator Suzanne Rheinstein, originally from New Orleans and now living in Californa brings her southern-style charm to Christmas decor, mixing flourishes of greenery and citrus. Taking a page from Suzanne's book, I'm going all out with citrus...
